Accreditation changes

Accreditation changes

Ownership, legal entity, name, address and location changes, model changes, and reinstatement after default.

The rules distinguish between telling IATA about a change and asking IATA before you make it. Knowing which is which, and what each change triggers, is most of this service.

Who this is for

  • Agencies changing ownership or legal form: share transfers, incorporations, mergers, group reorganisations.
  • Agencies changing name, address or locations: additions, closures, head-office moves.
  • Agencies switching accreditation model, and agencies seeking reinstatement after a default or termination.

What is included

  1. 01

Classification of your change under the applicable rules: what must be notified, what needs prior approval, what it will trigger.

  2. 02

A document checklist for your specific case and market (corporate documents, financial statements, security instruments) before anything is submitted.

  3. 03

Preparation and submission of the change through the IATA Customer Portal, and management of every follow-up query until written confirmation.

  4. 04

Sequencing advice where a change interacts with the annual review or your financial security, so you do not trigger two reviews where one would do.

  5. 05

For reinstatements: an honest assessment of the position first, then the application, the financial evidence and the settlement of outstanding items.

Typical timeline
Simple notifications conclude in days to a few weeks. Ownership changes and reinstatements run longer, typically several weeks to a few months, because they can involve financial reassessment. We give you a case-specific estimate before we start.
What your agency provides
  • The corporate documentation evidencing the change: deeds, registry extracts, shareholder agreements as applicable.
  • Current financial statements where the change triggers reassessment.
  • The real timeline, including anything already executed. Changes notified late are handled differently from changes notified in advance, and we need to know which case we are in.
